How this test works
The test is built on the CEFR scale, the same A1 to C2 ladder used by schools and exams worldwide. It asks five questions at each level, from everyday basics at A1 to fine shades of meaning at C2. Your level is the highest band you pass in an unbroken run, which is how real placement works: strong B2 students pass A1 to B2 and feel the wall at C1, while a learner who is truly between levels sees it in the band scores.
Am I B1 or B2?
This is the most common question English learners ask, and the honest answer is in the details. B1 means you can handle most situations and explain your plans. B2 means you can argue a point, follow fast speech, and use natural word combinations without translating. The band scores above show you exactly where the line falls for you.
What to do with your result
